I’ve been crafting Fountains for Black Joy since 2015. Traditionally the technological toys of privileged magnates, fountains are resources that demand to be resourced. They delight as playful vessels, meeting points, and community offerings, while also commanding institutional care and maintenance. I have usurped the power embedded in this form, claiming these resources for Black femme fun and care on a civic scale.
